Description

My first attempt to capture Uranus plus it's moons :

( 20 frames a 20 sec. : date Sept 8. 2015, time 00:32 - 00:42 )

It was quite an exercise to pin-point Uranus with my Dobson and the ZWO ASI 120MC

(small field of view / limited GoTo precision)

But with the help of Stellarium (simulationously connected to the Synscan handbox) and a stepwise approach (Synscan PAE), I could finally spot Uranus. This took about half an hour.

Uranus moons in the order smallest to largest distance from centre:

(according to Sky&Telesope online Uranus Simulation)

a) Umbrial

b) Miranda

c) Ariel

d) Oberon

e) Titania ( bottom left)
